Troubleshooting

Quick fixes for common issues — from failed generations to upload problems and account access.

Mockup Looks Different Than Expected

Sometimes the AI interprets your prompt differently than you intended. This is normal and usually easy to fix. Here are the most common causes and what to do about them:

  • Prompt is too vague — "Nice background" gives the AI very little to work with. Be specific: "rustic wooden table with soft morning light and a small succulent plant" tells the AI exactly what you want.
  • Conflicting settings — If your environment says "Studio" but your prompt describes an outdoor patio, the AI has to reconcile conflicting instructions. Make sure your environment, vibe, and prompt all point in the same direction.
  • Camera angle does not suit the product — A top-down angle might not work well for tall products like vases or bottles. Try switching to a front or three-quarter angle instead.
  • Try regenerating — Each generation is unique. If you like your settings but not the specific result, just hit Generate again for a fresh variation.

Tip: When in doubt, simplify. Start with a clear prompt and one or two controls, then add complexity once you are getting results in the right ballpark.

Generation Failed

Occasionally a generation can fail. This can happen due to content filters, temporary server load, or connectivity issues. The good news: you will not be charged for it.

  • Credits are NOT deducted on failure — If a generation does not complete, you keep your credit. You only pay for successful results.
  • Just try again — Most failures are one-off glitches. Hit Generate again and it will usually work on the next attempt.
  • Try a different prompt or image — If it keeps failing with the same input, the content filter may be flagging something. Adjust your prompt wording or try a different product image.

If generations are failing repeatedly across different prompts and images, it may be a temporary server issue. Wait a few minutes and try again.

Ran Out of Credits

When your credit balance hits zero, you will see an out-of-credits modal the next time you try to generate. Do not worry — you have a few options:

  • Upgrade to a paid plan — If you are on the free tier, upgrading to Creator or Studio gives you a monthly credit allowance plus HD downloads and other perks.
  • Buy a credit top-up pack — Already on a paid plan? You can purchase additional credit packs whenever you need a boost without changing your subscription.
  • Wait for your monthly refresh — If you are subscribed, your credits refill automatically at the start of each billing cycle. Unused credits roll over, so they are never wasted.

Tip: Keep an eye on your credit balance in the top navigation bar so you are never caught off guard mid-session.

Image Won't Upload

If your image is not uploading, check these common culprits:

  • File format — StageFlow accepts JPG, PNG, and WEBP files. Other formats like TIFF, BMP, or HEIC are not currently supported.
  • File size — Each image must be under 10MB. If your file is too large, try compressing it or reducing its dimensions before uploading.
  • Corrupted file — If the image opens fine on your computer but will not upload, try re-saving it as a new file from an image editor or screenshot tool.
  • Browser issues — If none of the above apply, try a different browser or clear your current browser's cache. Chrome and Firefox tend to work best.

Login & Password Issues

Having trouble getting into your account? Here are the most common fixes:

  • Wrong email or password — Double-check that you are using the same email address you signed up with. Passwords are case-sensitive.
  • Google sign-in — If you originally signed up with Google, you need to use the Google sign-in button. A regular email/password login will not work for Google-created accounts.
  • Email not confirmed — If you signed up with email, check your spam or promotions folder for the confirmation link. Without confirming, you will not be able to log in.
  • Forgot your password — Use the password reset link on the login page. You will receive an email with instructions to create a new password.

Guest Mode Limitations

You can explore StageFlow without an account — but there are limits to what guests can do. Here is what to expect:

  • Guests can — Browse the Create page, explore all the creative controls, upload images, write prompts, and see how everything works.
  • Guests cannot — Generate mockups, download images, upscale, or use the edit/refinement tools. These features require a free account.

When you try to generate as a guest, you will be redirected to sign up. Your work is automatically saved as a draft, so nothing is lost. Once you create your free account, you can pick up right where you left off.

Tip: Signing up is free and takes about 30 seconds. You get 10 credits immediately — no credit card required.
