Key Terms

Here are the terms you will see throughout StageFlow and what they mean:

  • Generation — Creating a brand-new mockup from your product image and prompt. This is the core action in StageFlow and costs 1 credit.
  • Refinement / Inpainting — Modifying an existing mockup with a follow-up prompt. Instead of starting from scratch, you tweak what is already there — change the background color, add a prop, or adjust the lighting.
  • Upscaling — Increasing your mockup's resolution. Every image gets one free upscale (2K or 4K). Additional upscales cost 1 credit each. Great for ensuring your images meet Etsy's quality recommendations.
  • Vibe — A style preset that influences the overall aesthetic of your mockup. Vibes control things like color grading, mood, and visual tone without you needing to describe every detail in your prompt.
  • Environment — The type of scene setting for your mockup. The four options are Studio, Lifestyle, Styled Surface, and Color & Texture. Each creates a fundamentally different kind of image.
  • Depth Estimation — The AI creates a 3D understanding of your 2D product image. This is what makes camera angle control possible — it lets the AI figure out the shape and depth of your product from a flat photo.
  • Non-destructive editing — Every change you make creates a new version. Your original mockup and all previous versions are always preserved, so you can roll back to any point.
  • Rollover credits — Unused subscription credits that carry over to the next month. They do not expire as long as your subscription is active, so you never lose what you have paid for.

Credit Cost Quick Reference

A quick cheat sheet so you always know what costs a credit and what does not:

  • Generate a mockup — 1 credit
  • Refine / edit a mockup — 1 credit
  • First upscale (2K or 4K) — Free for each image
  • Additional upscales — 1 credit each
  • Download — Free
  • Crop — Free
  • Save to project — Free
  • Organize projects — Free

Tip: Downloads, cropping, saving, and organizing are always free — you only spend credits on AI-powered actions like generating, refining, and 4K upscaling.

Supported File Types & Limits

Here are the technical specs for uploading and downloading images in StageFlow:

  • Upload formats — JPG, PNG, and WEBP
  • Max file size — 10MB per image
  • Max images per upload — 10 at a time
  • Download format — JPEG

If your images are in a different format (like TIFF or HEIC), you will need to convert them to one of the supported formats before uploading. Most image editors and online converters can handle this in seconds.

Plan Comparison

A side-by-side look at what each plan includes so you can pick the one that fits your workflow:

  • Free — 10 one-time credits, standard resolution downloads. A great way to try StageFlow and see if it works for your products.
  • Starter ($12/mo) — 30 credits/month, HD downloads, credit rollover (up to 15 credits), and credit top-up packs. For sellers just getting started.
  • Creator ($23/mo) — 100 credits/month, HD downloads, credit rollover (up to 100 credits), and credit top-up packs. Built for sellers who list regularly.
  • Studio ($58/mo) — 300 credits/month plus everything in Creator. Designed for high-volume sellers and shops with big catalogs.

Tip: All paid plans offer annual billing with 20% savings. If you know you will be using StageFlow long-term, annual is the better deal.
